We're Hiring: Join the Black Europeans Team (Volunteer Roles)
Black Europeans is growing. We're expanding our reach and strengthening our grassroots network across Europe and beyond. As we continue to build community-led action for racial equity across EU institutions, we're now looking for two new volunteer team members to join our efforts:
Community Organisers (Volunteer role)
As a Community Organiser, you will play a vital role in fostering strong relationships with our community members. This role is all about working closely with people — providing frontline support, driving both online and in-person engagement, and building long-term connections through outreach initiatives.
You will help grow and sustain our membership base, and play a key role in identifying and supporting local leaders to advocate for their communities. This includes liaising with EU officials and diplomats to ensure the voices of racialised EU citizens are being heard and taken seriously.
This is an exciting opportunity to build power from the ground up and support community members in becoming changemakers.
National Coordinators (Volunteer role)
Black Europeans currently has strong national teams in the UK and Portugal. Now, we're expanding our network to all 27 EU countries — as well as third countries where EU citizens reside.
As a National Coordinator, you will help lead that expansion in your country. You will identify local activists and EU citizens from ethnic minority backgrounds and support them in organising, building alliances, and launching initiatives that address systemic discrimination.
This is about more than representation. It's about collective power. As a National Coordinator, you will help EU citizen-led groups in your country speak up, act together, and influence change at both national and EU levels.
Who We're Looking For
Whether you're applying to be a Community Organiser or a National Coordinator, you must:
Hold an EU passport
Identify as being from an ethnic minority background
These are volunteer roles, ideal for people who are passionate, proactive, and deeply committed to justice. If you're someone who believes in community power and wants to help shape the future of Europe, we want to hear from you.
